POLIFILM expands site in Vietnam
Now also a strong, reliable partner for laminating, labelling and siliconizing films
With the move to a new, state-of-the-art facility located just outside the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, POLIFILM Vietnam is laying the foundations for expanding its capabilities in early 2025. In addition to its established solutions for construction, renovation, gardening, and agriculture, as well as the distribution of protective film solutions, the site is set to become the hub for PE and PP solutions from Business Unit POLIFILM Performance Film in the Southeast Asian region. For the first time, the business unit is establishing its own production capacities outside of Europe, starting with its strongest product segments: laminating, label, and films for siliconization.
“Over the years, we have built a strong customer base in Asia. The demand for lamination and label films as well as carrier films for siliconization, continues to grow. Producing close to our customers was the logical step to grow faster and stronger together,” says Alexander Schulte-Derne, Head of Sales at POLIFILM Performance Films and responsible for markets outside Europe, commenting on the move to Vietnam. “The conditions are ideal,” adds Schulte-Derne. “The experienced local team and our formulations, which are perfectly tailored to the specific needs of the market, provide the optimal foundation for successfully serving both local and neighbouring markets.”

To meet the high demands of the packaging and labelling industry not only in terms of product quality but also in respect of formal regulations, the implementation of numerous management systems in accordance with ISO standards and relevant certifications—particularly in the areas of environment and hygiene—is planned by the end of the year.
The company already introduced itself with its appearance at LabelExpo Asia in Bangkok in May.
